Mercedes-Benz launches a V2G package for private customers in Germany with The Mobility House

13 October 2026 | News | 2 min read

Mercedes-Benz launched a vehicle-to-grid (V2G) offer for private customers in Germany on October 13, 2026, with The Mobility House as its partner. The package, MB.CHARGE Home Pro Intelligent, combines three parts: the ChargeLine Bidi, an 11 kW bidirectional DC wallbox from The Mobility House for 400 V and 800 V cars, the Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Pro Eco tariff, and the Mercedes-Benz Charge Home app. Mercedes-Benz has an operator page on Plugchoice.

The wallbox lists at EUR 2,990. The first 500 customers who sign up before the end of March 2027 pay EUR 1,990 and get EUR 250 of public charging credit. The tariff pays 11.75 cents for every hour the car is plugged in with smart charging switched on, whether it charges, discharges or waits; Mercedes-Benz puts that at over EUR 500 a year at 12 hours a day. A smart meter is required. The offer starts with the electric GLC and the new electric C-Class, with more models to follow through over-the-air updates. Mercedes-Benz says the car side uses ISO 15118-20.

Like the workplace bundle Mercedes-Benz sells with ChargePoint, this ties one car brand to one wallbox and one tariff. The open route is OCPP 2.1, which defines bidirectional power transfer for any charger and backend that implement it.
