Mercedes-Benz Charging Network is the car maker's own DC fast-charging network, with about 80 charging hub locations live across Germany, the United States, China, Austria and Japan, expanding to more countries and upgrading to 600 kW Alpitronic hardware from 2026. Mercedes-Benz also sells its own home Wallbox through its dealer network and takes part in the IONITY (Europe), IONNA (North America) and IONCHI (China) charging joint ventures. The parent company, Mercedes-Benz Group AG, is headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany, founded in 1926, and employs about 163,000 people worldwide.
