Plugchoice is operated by Plugchoice B.V., part of Volt Time B.V., a privately held Dutch company founded in 2020 and based in the Netherlands.
Who runs Plugchoice
Plugchoice is a brand-agnostic EV-charging software platform (a CSMS) that can manage any charger speaking OCPP. It began as internal tooling for Volt Time chargers and launched as its own brand in January 2026. The company is led by its three co-founders.
How it is funded
The company earns its money from EV-charging hardware and platform services; the Plugchoice platform itself carries no per-charger fees. Our reporting is funded by the business, not by sponsored coverage, and no article is paid for by the companies it covers.
