Who runs it
The company is led by its three co-founders, Berend, Tijn and Tygo. Plugchoice started in 2023 as Volt Time Cloud, the software we built to service our own chargers, and got its own name in January 2026. About us
How it is funded
Volt Time earns its money from selling chargers to installers, wholesalers and retailers, and from Smart Charging, the paid Plugchoice module. The platform itself has no fee per charger.
Our articles are paid for by the business. No company pays to be covered, and no article is sponsored.
