Plugchoice

Editorial policy

Plugchoice publishes reporting and analysis about EV charging: the hardware, the protocols, and the software that runs it. This page explains how that work is done and who is responsible for it.

What we cover

We write about the EV-charging industry we work in every day: charger makers and models, OCPP and OCPI, charging software, and the companies across the value chain. We publish news, explainers and analysis, and we label each so readers know which is which.

How we report and source

We prefer original sourcing. Where we can, we confirm claims directly with the company involved and say so in the piece. When a story builds on reporting by others, we credit and link the original source. We keep fact separate from analysis, and we hedge what we cannot verify.

Who writes the stories

Every article carries a named byline that links to the author's profile, with their role and recent work. The visible byline always matches the author recorded in the page's structured data. Authors.

Handling commercial interests

Plugchoice is a free platform run by Volt Time B.V., which also sells EV chargers. We report on competitors, partners and suppliers alike. Where a story touches our own commercial interest, we disclose it in the article. Coverage is not for sale and is never conditioned on any commercial relationship.
