Load balancing per phase

Smart Charging adjusts the current of every Dual in real time over OCPP and keeps charging within the limit you set. How smart charging works

  • Power for the cars that chargePlugchoice divides the power between the sockets that are charging at that moment.
  • What the building leavesWith a meter on the main connection, the Duals use the power the building does not.
  • Per phase and per groupL1, L2 and L3 are measured and shared separately, and each row of Duals can have its own limit.
  • A meter without a cableThe meter talks to Plugchoice over the internet, so no control cable runs to the Duals.

A status and sessions per socket

In the web portal each socket of a Dual has its own status and its own sessions. The Dual carries a MID meter, and Plugchoice keeps the kWh of every session with the card that started it. The web portal

Plugchoice passes each Dual's connection on to the back office you already use, and runs the Duals next to it. How the connection is shared

Questions about the Peblar Dual

Yes. The Dual is Supported on our integration list: it connects over OCPP 1.6, as the Peblar Home, Home Plus and Business do. We tested those three with Plugchoice. Peblar on Plugchoice

Not to share a fixed limit between the Duals. To give the cars what the building leaves, yes: a meter on the main connection that is on our integration list. See the meters

The platform is free for every charger, location and user. Smart Charging is €29 a year per AC socket, €89 for five years or €199 once, and a Dual has two sockets. Every charger on the location needs it. Prices include VAT. See pricing

Usually, yes. Plugchoice can pass the connection on to the back office your Duals use, so it can keep billing your sessions. A company that receives that connection for its own services needs an agreement with us, and without one we may stop passing it on after notice. How the OCPP proxy works
