ePrämie with measured kWh.

With a calibrated wallbox you must submit the measured kWh, and semi-public charge points count only when measured. Plugchoice records every session from the charger, with its kWh and meter reading.

For hotels, employers and car parks

Semi-public charge points earn the ePrämie only with measured kWh. Our own estimate: a hotel that charges 20,000 kWh a year at such charge points earns 1,200 to 2,400 euros a year, and nothing without meter data.

  • A calibrated meter in the chargerA MID or calibrated meter, with every session logged automatically and tamper-proof.
  • A session log from the charger itselfWith the serial number of the charger, kept for three years for the checks of the Umweltbundesamt.
  • Every session, every brandPlugchoice keeps start, stop, kWh, connector and card per charger, next to the back office you already use.
  • Export for your AntragsberechtigterThe sessions per charger as a CSV, Excel or PDF file.

For owners with a MID wallbox

With a calibrated wallbox the law already puts you on measured kWh; the flat rate of 1,500 kWh per car a year is for chargers that cannot measure. Plugchoice records every session, and you export the year for your Antragsberechtigter.

  • Every session in the appWith its kWh, time and meter, in your own account.
  • The year as a fileExport your sessions as CSV, Excel or PDF and send them to your Antragsberechtigter.
  • What it is worthOur own estimate: at 2,500 kWh a year, measured pays about 45 to 110 euros more than the flat rate, at 4,000 kWh 135 to 250 euros. If you charge little at home, measured can pay less.
  • You choose your Antragsberechtigter yourselfChoosing in the Plugchoice app works in the Netherlands only. In Austria you sign a contract with an Antragsberechtigter for each year.

How the ePrämie works

Fuel suppliers in Austria buy the renewable electricity charged in electric cars to meet their quota. An Antragsberechtigter bundles the kWh of many cars and charge points and submits them to the Umweltbundesamt, under a contract with you for each year. Without measured kWh, a flat rate of 1,500 kWh per car a year applies. The ePrämie in the knowledge base
