Easee moves into Spain, Portugal and Italy as charger sales rise 47 percent
Easee announced on October 27, 2026 that it is building a local sales presence in Spain, Portugal and Italy, with partnerships with installers and distributors. More than 1,000 Easee chargers are already installed in the three countries without any commercial operation there; according to Easee, much of that demand came from Northern European customers with holiday homes in the south.
The Norwegian charger maker paired the move with its figures for the first nine months of 2026. Revenue rose 33 percent to NOK 835.8 million and charger sales rose 47 percent. Adjusted EBITDA came to about NOK 122 million, roughly four times the year before, a margin of 14.5 percent against about 5 percent. In Benelux, hardware revenue rose 86 percent and charger sales more than doubled. Germany, Austria and Switzerland together brought in just under NOK 200 million.
What it means
Installers who pick up Easee in a new market still need a backend for the chargers they put in. Easee chargers connect to Plugchoice from inside the Easee app, and since firmware 344 they can also speak OCPP directly to a backend. Plugchoice runs Easee hardware and smart charging the same way in Madrid as in Utrecht. More on the range: the Easee charger hub.
