- Since 1 January 2024
The scheme
- Name
- Hernieuwbare energie-eenheden categorie F (e-credits) / Unités d’énergie F (e-credits)
- In English
- Renewable energy units, category F
- Who earns
- Operators of public and semi-public charge points, and companies with private charge points from 50 kW per address. Charging at home is excluded by the royal decree of 14 December 2023.
- Who may bundle
- Only the operator files, with a mandate from the owner; since April 2026 a unit may be transferred only once. Service providers work with such a mandate.
- What has to be measured
- Reporting per charge point (EVSE ID) or per station (EAN), per week, at the latest two weeks after the quarter, as an Excel upload.
- What it is worth
- Prices reported for 2026 range from 4.40 to 18 euros per unit; the sources disagree.
Other rules for charging
- Employer reimbursement of home charging
- An employer that reimburses home charging tax-free needs a kWh measurement of accuracy class B (MID) for every system bought, rented or leased from 1 January 2025. Maximum rates for the fourth quarter of 2026: 32.25 cents per kWh in Flanders, 36.88 in Brussels and 37.79 in Wallonia.
- Other schemes and rules
- Flanders plans to require smart charging for every new or replaced non-public charge point from 1 January 2028 (draft decree). A draft federal law would let the government open the scheme to home charging later; nothing has been decided since the consultation in 2025.
What Plugchoice does here
Plugchoice records each session per charger with its kWh and exports it as CSV, Excel or PDF, for an employer's reimbursement or an operator's filing.
