The scheme
- Name
- ZÖTIR
- In English
- Credit system for renewable electricity in transport
- Who earns
- Only holders of a MEKH licence for a public charger, for electricity sold there; households are excluded. A charger on private ground that is open to traffic, also for a limited group, counts as public.
- Who may bundle
- No aggregator; a service provider can act only with a power of attorney for a licensed operator.
- What has to be measured
- Calibrated meter readings per charging session, reported to MEKH every month.
- What it is worth
- Nothing for a home charger. The first certificate is issued on 31 March 2027.
Other rules for charging
- Employer reimbursement of home charging
- In practice a sub-meter, a smart charger or a separately listed bill (not confirmed).
What Plugchoice does here
For an operator of public charge points, Plugchoice runs next to the existing back office and exports the sessions per charge point as CSV, Excel or PDF for the operator's own filing.
