Shop Terms

Updated 30 October 2026

Version 2026-2, published 2026-10-30. It applies to every order from 2026-10-30.

These terms apply when you buy in the Plugchoice shop on plugchoice.com. A consumer is a natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. "We" means Volt Time B.V. (KvK 77488873, VAT NL861023390B01), also trading as Plugchoice, De Entree 99, 1101 HE Amsterdam, the Netherlands, support@plugchoice.com.

1. What these terms cover

1.1. These terms cover what you buy in the shop, such as charge cards, meters, other hardware and codes. Using a product with Plugchoice falls under our General Terms and Consumer Terms, the service for a charge card under our Billing and eMSP Terms, and amounts under our prices and price rules. Towards a consumer, Consumer Terms clauses 1.2, 10.2, 12.2 and 12.4 to 12.6 also apply to your purchase.

1.2. A module or subscription for a charger is not a shop purchase, wherever you buy it; Consumer Terms clause 4 governs it.

1.3. Towards a buyer that is not a consumer, clauses 4 and 5.1 do not apply, General Terms clauses 3.16, 12, 13, 18.5, 18.8 and 18.11 apply, and the risk passes when we hand the product to the carrier.

2. Ordering, payment and delivery

2.1. Prices include VAT. Shipping and order costs are shown at checkout before you order.

2.2. Your order is an offer. We accept it, and the agreement is made, when we ship the product; our email after your order (the "order confirmation") only confirms that we received it. Towards a business buyer, the agreement is made when we confirm the order by email. Before then, we may refuse an order, such as when a product is out of stock or a price is obviously wrong, and refund what you paid.

2.3. You pay with a method shown at checkout. A product stays ours until you have paid for it in full. A business buyer that resells a product before paying for it in full pledges to us its claims against its buyers for it.

2.4. We deliver to addresses in the countries offered at checkout, within 30 days after your order unless the order confirmation or the shop states another period. If a product is no longer available, we may deliver a newer version with at least the same functions. If the newer version differs in a way that matters to you, you may cancel that product free of charge.

2.5. If a parcel comes back undelivered or uncollected, we may cancel the order and refund the price less the shipping and order costs.

2.6. [Intentionally left blank]

2.7. If our costs rise after your order, such as for products, transport, taxes or levies, we may raise the price of an order we have not yet delivered. We tell you first, and you may then cancel the order free of charge and get back what you paid.

3. Products that need an account or another company's service

3.1. A charge card or meter works with Plugchoice only once it is added to a Plugchoice account. The product specifications in the shop state what a product works with and whether a meter needs the online service of its maker or another company (the "meter vendor").

3.2. That service, and what the meter vendor requires for it, is up to the meter vendor; Consumer Terms 5.6 and 9.1 apply.

4. Right of withdrawal

4.1. You may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason: for a product, counted from the day you or someone you named, other than the carrier, received it or, for an order delivered in parts, its last part; for a service or a code, from the day the agreement is made.

4.2. To withdraw, send us before the period ends the model form below or another clear statement by email to support@plugchoice.com.

4.3. Send the product back within 14 days after you withdraw, to the address we give you. You bear the direct cost of returning it, and any loss in value from handling it beyond what is needed to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

4.4. If you asked us to start a service within the withdrawal period, you pay for what we provided until you withdrew: for a charge card as Billing and eMSP Terms 12.3 sets out, for a module activated with a code as Consumer Terms 4.4 sets out.

5. Conformity and warranty

5.1. By law, we as seller must remedy free of charge a product that does not conform, as the EU harmonised notice (Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960) explains. Our warranty does not affect this.

5.2. We also warrant a product from the shop, if our order confirmation states a warranty period for it, against defects in materials and manufacture for that period from delivery, in the countries we deliver to. Only the buyer can claim under it, within 1 month of discovering the defect.

5.3. To claim under our warranty, email support@plugchoice.com with the order number, the serial number and a description. We tell you where to send the product. After inspecting it, we repair or replace it at our choice, also with a refurbished or equivalent product with at least the same functions. A replaced product or part becomes ours.

5.4. The warranty does not cover wear, damage, moisture, overvoltage, wrong installation or use, repairs or changes by others, or a meter vendor's service (3.2). If we find no defect it covers, we send the product back at your cost.

5.5. Consumers in France. The following applies by French law:

The consumer has 2 years from delivery of the goods to obtain the implementation of the legal guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity appears. During this period, the consumer only has to establish the existence of the lack of conformity, not the date on which it appeared. Where the contract of sale provides for the continuous supply of digital content or a digital service for more than 2 years, the legal guarantee applies to that digital content or digital service throughout the period of supply. During this period, the consumer only has to establish the existence of the lack of conformity affecting the digital content or digital service, not the date on which it appeared. The legal guarantee of conformity obliges the seller, where applicable, to supply all updates needed to keep the goods in conformity. It entitles the consumer to repair or replacement of the goods within 30 days of the request, free of charge and without major inconvenience. If the goods are repaired under the legal guarantee of conformity, the consumer gets a 6-month extension of the initial guarantee. If the consumer asks for repair but the seller imposes replacement, the legal guarantee of conformity is renewed for 2 years from the date of replacement. The consumer may obtain a price reduction while keeping the goods, or end the contract against full refund and return of the goods, if: (1) the seller refuses to repair or replace the goods; (2) repair or replacement takes place after 30 days; (3) repair or replacement causes the consumer major inconvenience, in particular where the consumer finally bears the cost of taking back or removing the non-conforming goods, or the cost of installing the repaired or replacement goods; or (4) the lack of conformity persists despite the seller's unsuccessful attempt to remedy it. The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to end the contract where the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or ending of the contract; the consumer then does not have to ask for repair or replacement first. The consumer is not entitled to end the sale if the lack of conformity is minor. Any period during which the goods are out of use for repair or replacement suspends the remaining guarantee until the goods are delivered back. These rights result from articles L. 217-1 to L. 217-32 of the Code de la consommation. A seller that in bad faith obstructs the implementation of the legal guarantee of conformity incurs a civil fine of up to EUR 300,000, which may be raised to 10% of its average annual turnover (article L. 241-5 of the Code de la consommation). The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under articles 1641 to 1649 of the Code civil, for 2 years from discovery of the defect. This guarantee gives the right to a price reduction if the goods are kept, or to a full refund against return of the goods.

6. Codes

6.1. Consumer Terms 4.5 applies to codes, coupons and keys we issue. A module activated with a code belongs to the charger it was activated for (Consumer Terms 4.2).
