ERE registration through Xolvere
Xolvere is a Dutch booking service provider registered with the NEa. It registers the kWh charged at home, sells the certificates and pays the proceeds to the charger owner. Plugchoice is where the session data comes from: one OCPP connection per charger, whatever the brand.
What Xolvere is and what it pays
Xolvere is an inboekdienstverlener, a booking service provider registered with the Nederlandse Emissieautoriteit (NEa). ERE stands for emissiereductie-eenheid, an Emission Reduction Unit. Charging an electric car on a station with a MID-certified meter produces these units, fuel suppliers buy them to meet their fuel transition targets, and Xolvere registers them, sells them and pays the owner minus its commission.
The commission starts at 20 percent of the gross ERE revenue and drops by one percentage point for every consecutive year of participation, down to 16 percent from the fifth year. Xolvere states that there are no startup costs, no fixed charges and no fixed contract, and its payout follows the weekly ERE market quote it publishes on its own site.
The service is aimed at private and lease drivers, at companies with workplace or employee charging, and at partners such as installers and advisers who register on behalf of their customers.

ERE runs on MID-metered kWh. Xolvere lists per brand and model which chargers qualify, and Plugchoice reads those same meter values out of every session.

The charger speaks OCPP 1.6J to Plugchoice. With the OCPP Proxy it keeps its existing backoffice at the same time, so getting clean session data costs you nothing you already run.
Xolvere registers and pays out
Xolvere registers the units with the NEa, sells them and pays the owner. The direct link between Plugchoice and Xolvere is in development, so today the session data is delivered per agreement rather than automatically.

Is Xolvere connected to Plugchoice today?
Not automatically. Xolvere is listed in the Plugchoice ERE directory and the direct link is in development. Chargers already on Plugchoice produce the MID-metered sessions that ERE registration runs on, so the data side is ready before the link is.
What does Xolvere charge?

Which chargers qualify for ERE?
