Vattenfall is winding down its service on existing home chargers, Athlon tells its lease drivers in an FAQ about the transfer. For drivers with a Vattenfall home charger through Athlon, the home charging subscription moves to Athlon Charge, and Groendus takes over management of the charger and the five-year warranty from Vattenfall.

Laadkompas, which offers Vattenfall customers a free switch to its own service, gives October 31, 2026 as the date Vattenfall stops managing the charger. Plugchoice is a management platform for OCPP chargers from many brands; a home charger that speaks OCPP can be connected to another platform, depending on model, firmware and configuration.

For Athlon drivers, the move runs through an invitation to the Athlon Charge charger portal. There they upload a photo of their meter cupboard and enter their bank account number and home charging reimbursement rate. Groendus pays the reimbursement around the 28th of the month after the charger has moved.

Check in the integration directory whether your charger connects to Plugchoice.
