InstaVolt has sold its Spanish and Portuguese charging business to the CPO Powerdot, and says it will refocus on its core UK and Ireland markets. The two networks change hands as public rapid charging in Iberia consolidates around fewer operators.
It is adjacent to the private and commercial AC world Plugchoice works in rather than the same market, but the pattern is familiar across EV charging right now: operators buying, selling and retrenching. Whichever operator ends up behind a charger, the layer that keeps it manageable is the open protocol it speaks, not the logo on the network.
