Data export
Version 2026-2, published 2026-10-30. It applies to accounts created from 2026-10-30 and to existing accounts from 2026-11-30.
This page is part of General Terms clause 15.5 (switching to another provider). The Definitions, version 2026-2, at plugchoice.com/legal/definitions, form part of it.

2. The API
With a Personal Access Token you read everything our API offers for your own account, for your own use (API and Developer Terms clause 1.1). During a switch under General Terms clause 15.5, the provider you switch to may do the same for your exportable data. Both are free of charge where the EU Data Act requires it. Other access by or for another party, also with your token or account, is making data available to that party (Data Act information, section 5). The API returns JSON; documentation is at developer.plugchoice.com.
3. Everything else
For other data, email support@plugchoice.com and say which data, for which account, Team or location. This covers the setup and settings of locations and Chargers, smart charging settings, Charge Card lists, detailed meter readings, data of the Billing & Invoicing and eMSP Modules, files you uploaded such as whitelabel branding, and support conversations. We provide it in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format; where the law does not require this free of charge, at the price we state before we start (General Terms clause 11.4). To switch, email us.
4. Known limitations
- An export contains only data the Platform still holds; data is kept for the periods in our Privacy Policy (section 7).
- A Web Portal export shows what your role gives you access to, and covers one Team, location or Charger; for a complete export of an account, email us.
- Readings from a Meter Vendor are exported as we received them (General Terms clause 6.8(d)).
5. What is not exportable
Derived Data, data aggregated across customers and our databases, including the charger compatibility database, are not exportable: they are our intellectual property or trade secrets, or contain data of other customers (General Terms clauses 10.4 and 15.5(c)).
